Hi, I'm Polly Benson, OTR/L
I'm an occupational therapist, inventor, speaker, and the creator of LegiLiner®. I've spent years helping children build stronger handwriting and fine motor skills, and along the way I saw how often teachers, therapists, and parents needed practical tools that were both effective and easy to use. That's what led me to create LegiLiner®.
Today, LegiLiner® is more than a product—it's a complete handwriting support system. I offer rolling self-inking stamps, OT-informed strategies, lesson plans, trainings, and membership resources that help adults support children with letter formation, spacing, sizing, number alignment, and written organization. My goal is to help fix the handwriting so we can launch the learning.
I also share my expertise through professional development, national conferences, podcast interviews, and media appearances, including Legacy Makers TV. Whether I'm speaking, teaching, or creating new resources, I'm passionate about helping children gain confidence, independence, and joy in learning.

As a school-based occupational therapist, Polly spent countless hours drawing handwriting lines by hand — on worksheets, whiteboards, and adapted paper — so her students could practice letter formation at the right size. It was slow, repetitive, and impossible to scale across a full caseload.
One evening, watching a pizza cutter roll smoothly across a countertop, the idea clicked: what if handwriting lines could roll onto any paper, instantly? That spark became the first LegiLiner — a self-inking rolling stamp that lays down perfect practice lines anywhere, in seconds.
What began as one therapist's classroom hack is now a family of 25 stamp styles used by teachers, OTs, and families around the world — backed by lesson plans, trainings, and a thriving VIP community.
